Allergic Fungal Sinusitis

Although for years administration of fungal immunotherapy to patients with allergic fungal sinusitis was said to be theoretically contraindicated, this practice has been shown not to be harmful. It has been shown to prevent recurrence and minimize dependence on systemic glucocorticoids in the treatment of these patients. This mode of therapy is being studied and has been validated by more than 5 years’ experience.
