After a working diagnosis of allergic rhinosinusitis is established with a history, physical examination, and adjunctive tests, a number of agents can be used to manage the condition. Allergy testing—either in vivo or in vitro—must precede immunotherapy. Such testing also confirms offenders and facilitates more appropriate allergen avoidance. The management of nasal allergy proceeds in a stepwise manner.
