Unusual causes of nasal obstruction include systemic diseases such as Wegener granulomatosis, sarcoidosis, and relapsing polychondritis. Rhinitis may be the presenting problem. Infections that cause granulomatous obstruction of the nasal cavity include tuberculosis, leprosy, sporotrichosis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, and coccidiomycosis. Rhinoscleroma is caused by Klebsiella rhinoscleromatis. Rhinoscleroma causes granuloma in the nasal cavity and often affects the larynx.
